Sandra Hoisz

Sandra is passionate about connecting Londoners with their communities and nature on their doorstep.

She leads a multidisciplinary team at Groundwork and collaborates with partners from the statutory, private and voluntary sectors to create vibrant, attractive, safe and multi functional open spaces that meet communities’ aspirations and priorities. She has over 15 years experience of facilitating deliberative, participatory processes to inform neighbourhood planning and green space improvements.  

She is responsible for the development, implementation and management of sustainable regeneration projects at Groundwork London, encouraging engagement of all sections of the community. Sandra specialises in collaborative project design/ delivery bringing together expert and local knowledge in order to create high quality urban design solution and strong, healthy and resilient communities.

She has led the implementation of award winning behaviour change projects across North and Central London and is an active member of local and regional sustainability networks. Sandra is an advocate for the transformative effect engagement with nature can have for people living in urban areas and the powerful role of nature to enhance people’s sense of well being, health and happiness.
