Aleksandra Mir is a visual artist who has been involved with the subject of space exploration since 1999.

Her seminal work, First Woman on the Moon,​ explored the construction of a moon landscape on a beach in Holland that gave everyone free access and opportunity to make world history. More recently she interviewed 16 space industry experts and space academics about contemporary space, resulting in her monumental scale graphic novel Space Tapestry, exhibited at Tate Liverpool and Modern Art Oxford, as well as the publication of her book We Can't Stop Thinking About the Future, Strange Attractor Press / MIT, 2017.
