Anna Rafferty

Anna is Global Director: Digital Marketing, Digital Studios at BBC Studios.  

She is tasked with running the digital marketing portfolio, leading the company’s short-form and social content production unit BBCS Digital Studios, driving the corporation’s reputation for digital innovation and editorially developing new IP.

She joined BBC Studios from Pottermore, J.K. Rowling’s digital entertainment company where she was Director of Product, Content and Creative and part of the launch teams for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the Fantastic Beasts’ franchise. Prior to Pottermore, Rafferty spent 11 years at Penguin Books where she was Digital MD. She worked with major talent and IP including John le Carré, Roald Dahl, Jamie Oliver, Peppa Pig, John Green, Marian Keyes, Zadie Smith and Penguin Classics, amongst many others.

She is on the board of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, the Ravensbourne Media Advisory Board and is Chair of digital arts and heritage charity Culture24, which programs and runs the Museums at Night festival and the Museum Crush website.
