We can’t save everything - loss is an inevitable part of change.
The loss and destruction of nature, landscapes and even culture is increasing with the impacts of climate change, ecological transformation and other human activities. So how can we cope or even reinterpret this change to value transformation, loss, destruction, decay and even pollution as an important part of future heritage? How should we value different types of ‘waste’, from the London Fatberg to nuclear waste, as a form of future heritage?
